An effective way to get yourself into a forgiving and giving consciousness is to release yourself from the bondage of unforgiving and selfishness. The power of forgiveness and giving are God’s greatest traits and is the key to unlocking God’s miracle powers. People must forgive all who need forgiveness especially themselves. Sometimes we might not grasp the necessity and power of forgiveness due to a lack of knowledge, or feelings of bitterness that we have not dealt with before. One should realize that you could pass your past and start over again. Forgiveness is not important because someone deserves it or not but it is essential because you deserve to be happy. People are unaware of the fact that forgiveness always has a healing concept.

  1. Forgiven, forgotten and free.

As long as people do not forgive, it is poisoning you and your own energy. It does not affect the other person and it is pointless. This means that you are giving the control of your life to another person. Many people want to forgive but do not know how to. As long as you do not forgive, the haleness purges within you. One can counter hate by praying for them or accepting what they did and wishing them well.  Nelson Mandela rightly said, “Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping that it will kill your enemies.” Resentment and hostility often run deep, and forgiveness is not always easy. However we can change, we can grow and realize our true potential.

Forgive yourself first, as it is the opportunity to strengthen your soul. The entire universe is one consciousness. If we cling to that consciousness within us, we can let go of all negative energy and thoughts such as selfishness and unforgiveness. Turn within and stay centered in oneness with the creative flow of your own self.

  1. Change of vocabulary

Forgiveness transforms resentment and anger into healing and peace. Forgiveness can help you overcome the feelings of depression, anger, hurt and rage as well as personal and relational conflicts. Giving and helping others can help you overcome selfishness, jealousy, and greed. This is a stepping-stone of self-improvement and betterment as an individual. Do not talk about them in an unkind way. Bless them, and do not curse them. However, forgive but do not forget. Forgive is a Latin terminology, which means to give entirely without reservation. Forgiving itself is giving. Forgiveness is a gift to you.

  1. Let it go!

Forgiveness and giving means giving up the suffering of the past and forging new and better ways for a future ahead. It transforms your mind frame into being already abundant. When you think and feel, you create, as the law of attraction clearly states.  Forgiveness is a vital spiritual and emotional practice. Not forgiving someone will hold you back from everything that you want to be. Forgiveness does not mean that you condone their behavior and you are going to tolerate any further abuse and trust that person. Forgiveness is not something you do for the person who wronged you. It’s something you do for you.

  1. Willingness to give and forgive – Freedom

Willingness to truly give and forgive can come when we realize that the persons who are giving us these opportunities are actually helping us. The more we discover that our selfishness is the thing that is making us suffer. It makes us absorbed in ourselves and we obsess about our problems. However, if we become more compassionate and open, our problems become small and forgiveness and giving are one of the main keys. Experience the gratitude that this person is giving me an opportunity to forgive and give. Grudges weigh us down and deplete our energy.

Forgiveness says to the offender, “I am beyond your reach.” There is so much weight, exhaustion and mental stress involved if we hold on to unforgiveness. This can lead to trapping negative energy in your body, which may appear in the form of the disease in the future.

  1. Releasing negative energy

Forgiveness cleanses us and giving increases your abundance. Forgiveness will lead to releasing resentment and giving kindness and compassion to people can multiply whatever is in store for you. The energy that overburdens us we can be releasing it when we forgive and can with time, forget. When we move past that, you can unlock other doors in your life. The greatest challenge is that our compassion is conditional, which means our ego and limitations bind it. However, empathy must be unconditional by opening your heart.

When compassion is unconditional, it cannot only change one’s life but also the ones you are forgiving. Giving with a kind, the compassionate heart can be the seed of abundance for you. The more you give, the more positive energy you transmit to the universe and universe uses this energy to multiply what you are to receive. Giving and helping others will lead you to positivity, gratitude, and serving others in need. These characteristics make a good human.

Forgiving gives you the relief of letting go of a painful past and giving helps you understand the pain experienced by others. This increases your compassion and empathy. Besides the reward of letting go of a painful past, there are compelling health benefits that you can experience when one practices forgiveness and compassion. According to medical specialists, forgiveness is associated with lower heart rate, blood pressure, reducing fatigue and improving sleep quality and overall stress relief. It helps in diminishing the experience of stress and inner conflict while simultaneously restoring positive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

  1. Survival of the kindest

Giving with a full heart will increase your abundance. Human beings have survived as a species because we connect with the suffering of others and have evolved the capacities to care for those in need. “As Darwin long ago surmised, sympathy is our strongest instinct,” Keltner said. This reassuring feeling can serve as a motivator for the future endeavors. This increases the bar to upset your own self, should one in the future to come. George Vaillant describes the power of forgiveness and giving as two of the eight positive emotions that keep us connected with our deepest selves and with others. These emotions bind us together in our humanity. Research affirms that developing stronger positive emotions supports us in leading healthier, happier and more connected lives with each other.

Forgiving and giving are both healthy psychologically, emotionally and physically as well. They increase the amount of serotonin in the body thus making a person happy. It also increases compassion with oneself. This is exactly how I felt when I decided to forgive a childhood friend, who stole from me financially and lied to me for years, which had resulted in weakening my startup business. However, the next day I felt lighter and decided not to trust anyone with my finances again. I have been living more cautiously since then, as it had been a great learning for me.

Therefore, it helps you move on and reach for greater endeavors in your life. By remembering that you cannot control others but yourself and you cannot improve someone else but yourself, you will be on a constant road to self-improvement. In other words, is the hero of your own story and others around you will recognize you for who you truly are? The compassionate Mother Teresa said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving. Giving shapes your entire life in ways you cannot fathom.
